Role Description This is a full-time Air Freight Specialist role based in Thailand, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The Air Freight Specialist will coordinate time-critical air shipments, including booking flights, arranging hand-carry couriers, and ensuring all freight documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations. The role involves daily interaction with customers, airlines, and logistics partners to confirm schedules, monitor shipments in transit, and provide real-time status updates. The specialist will track and resolve any delays or issues, manage customs-related requirements in coordination with internal and external partners, and ensure on-time delivery according to client service-level agreements. The position also includes maintaining detailed shipment records, updating internal systems, and supporting continuous improvement in operational efficiency and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication in English and the ability to coordinate with global stakeholders.
- Demonstrated Customer Service abilities, with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and maintaining a professional, client-centered approach.
- Hands-on experience with Freight and Freight Forwarding operations, particularly in air freight or time-critical logistics.
- Knowledge of Logistics Management, including shipment planning, carrier coordination, documentation, and basic customs and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, with strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
- Proficiency in common office and logistics software tools (e.g., shipment tracking platforms, spreadsheets, and email systems).
- Previous experience in air cargo, express courier, or similar logistics roles is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
