Main Purpose Of The Role:
This is a key role in the efficient and compliant handling of all air export operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while mentoring junior staff and supporting the operational team.
Duties and Responsibilities Of The Air Export Team Leader:
Coordinate and manage end-to-end air export shipments
Liaise with airlines, handling agents, and overseas offices
Prepare and process export documentation (AWBs, customs entries, etc.)
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards
Monitor and manage shipment schedules, resolving issues proactively
Provide exceptional customer service and timely updates
Support and mentor junior team members
Contribute to process improvements and team development
Assist in training and developing staff in preparation for a Team Leader role
To Be Considered:
Proven supervising or mentoring experience within air export operations
Minimum 3 years’ experience in air freight export operations
Strong knowledge of air export procedures, documentation, and regulations
Familiarity with customs systems and export control requirements
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Proactive, reliable, and solution-oriented
Right to work in the UK
