Reynolds Logistics is a subcontractor for a division of UPS called UPS Supply Chain Solutions. This division moves heavyweight airfreight within their domestic air freight network in the United States and to all points worldwide.
We support this division by providing operations and driver support in Wichita and surrounding areas.
Our operations agent position is a position that does everything from working within the UPS software to driving a forklift on the dock loading air containers and trucks. Must be an organized individual.
You will start your day interacting with our drivers to make sure their deliveries are being completed and that they are on time to pickup all cargo that our customers will ship out in the afternoon. This interaction will continue to occur throughout the day. Any dispatching experience would be helpful for this part of the job.
You will follow up in the UPS software on shipments that should have been delivered in the Wichita area the past day but for some reason have not yet arrived.
You will interact with customers on the phone who may need quotes for cargo that they will ship in the future.
You will also interact with UPS employees both on site within our office and over the phone at their various support terminals.
As the late afternoon approaches you will begin to do data entry into the UPS system of bills of ladings for shipment that we will send out that night. These could be shipments moving anywhere in the world.
You could be required to jump on a forklift and help load an outbound truck or an outbound air cargo container.
You could be asked to help our drivers create labels that are affixed to each pallet or crate we send out.
You will interact with UPS airlines to ensure the Supply Chain Solution divisions cargo is loaded on the aircraft.
These confirmations will be documented by you within the UPS software.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working under pressure and must be able to work well on their own. There are many items in this position that are time sensitive. These items must be completed but this position does not have a manger or lead to ensure this things are completed. You are the one that ensures you get these things done. So being self motivated is a must.
There will be a few hours per day that you are the only one in the office.
We will spend lots of time teaching and training you every aspect of this job. There are also always resources available 24 hours a day if you have questions.
**We are located on the Wichita airport and as such all of our employees are subject to background checks. If you have felonies or serious misdemeanors you would not pass these background checks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
