Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily air freight and ocean freight import/export operations.
- Ensure smooth execution of shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Coordinate with overseas offices, carriers, airlines, shipping lines, customs brokers, and customers.
- Monitor shipment milestones and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with local customs regulations and company SOPs.
- Supervise and coach the operations team to achieve service excellence.
- Monitor KPIs, operational efficiency, and cost control.
- Handle customer escalations and provide effective logistics solutions.
- Maintain accurate shipment documentation and timely system updates.
- Support business development by providing operational solutions and quotations when required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in international freight forwarding.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, customs clearance, and cross-border logistics.
- Familiar with CargoWise, EDI, or other freight forwarding systems is an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for communication with regional offices and customers.
- Willing to be based in Malaysia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling project logistics or key accounts.
- Knowledge of ASEAN cross-border logistics operations.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service mindset.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing operations team.
