About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Export Operator to join our team at Kalgin Global Logistics. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their shipments, and is keen to continue developing their expertise.
You will play a key role in managing end-to-end export shipments while contributing to the ongoing development and structure of our export department.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage end-to-end export shipments (sea and air) from booking through to final delivery
-Handle AIR, LCL, FCL, FAK, and breakbulk shipments with accuracy and efficiency
-Coordinate and process Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments in compliance with all regulations
-Arrange and manage transhipments to Pacific Islands, ensuring smooth routing and communication with agents
-Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and overseas agents
-Prepare and verify export documentation (B/L, commercial invoices, packing lists, DG declarations, etc.)
-Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company procedures
-Provide proactive updates to customers and manage expectations throughout the shipment lifecycle
-Troubleshoot issues and provide practical solutions when challenges arise
Skills & Experience:
-Minimum 3+ years’ experience in freight forwarding (export operations)
-Strong knowledge of FCL / FAK / breakbulk shipments
-Proven experience handling Dangerous Goods (DG)
-Good understanding of air freight operations
-Experience with Pacific Islands trade lanes and transhipments highly preferred
-Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments at once
-Confident communicator with both customers and overseas partners
-Ability to work independently and take ownership
