Role Description The Afterhours Specialist is a full-time role responsible for managing transportation operations tracn and trace, maintenance and driver support outside regular busines
s hours.
This hybrid position is based in Skopje, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring load status, responding to urgent issues, coordinating with drivers and customers, and updating systems with accurate, real-time information. The role involves communicating schedule changes, handling service disruptions, and ensuring that shipments meet safety, compliance, and on-time delivery standards. The Afterhours Specialist collaborates closely with the dispatch and operations teams to maintain continuous coverage and high service quality for intermodal and OTR freight.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including clear phone, email, and messaging etiquette.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatch operations, ideally with intermodal or OTR freight.
- Ability to work afterhours shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed, with reliable time management and availability.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems, GPS tracking platforms, and basic office software (e.g., Excel, email tools).
- Skills in problem-solving and decision-making under time pressure, with attention to safety and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy in data entry, and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Skopje, with self-motivation and independence when working from home.
- Previous experience in a dispatch, afterhours support,maintenance support,call center, or operations coordination role is preferred.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in logistics, business, or a related field is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional regional languages are a plus.
