Position: Adjunct Faculty – General Studies (English)
The Site Activity Coordinator is responsible for implementing and verifying safe systems of work on the railway alignment. This includes coordinating with the NOCC Train Controller or Possession Supervisor to manage track possessions worksites and contractor access, ensuring a safework environmentfor personnel and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Contractor Access Management
Manage and supervise contractor access to the railway corridor.
Conduct safety briefings ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
Verify workers’ competence and ensure emergency arrangements are understood.
Field Coordination of Safe Systems of Work
Liaise with NOCC or Possession Supervisor to establish and manage SSOW.
Ensure clear tracks post-work and handover possessions/permits within time.
Supervisemultidisciplinarytechnical teams onsite.
Network Access Assessment
Evaluate access applications to identify and mitigate rail hazards.
Safety & Compliance
Inspect and verify adherence tosafety protocolsand stop unsafe activities.
Report field activities and ensure compliance with Etihad Rail standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Certificate / Diploma in Safety or Rail Operations.
Valid full driving license.
Experience
Background in railway operations with knowledge of possession and permit to work systems.
Experience managing contractors and coordinating field teams.
Key Skills
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic, Urdu, or Hindi is advantageous.
Strongcommunication,adaptability, and cultural awareness.
Ability to work in harsh environments including desert locations and during night shifts.
