Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing invoicing, customer payments, collections, and maintaining accurate financial records related to lumber and pellet sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and send customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Post payments (checks, ACH, wires) and reconcile customer accounts
Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
Communicate with customers regarding billing issues and payment terms
Coordinate with sales and shipping teams to ensure invoice accuracy
Maintain organized records of AR transactions
Assist with month-end close and reporting
Keeping safety records, training logs, and inspection documents up to date
Supporting environmental and regulatory reporting
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working independently and across departments
Excellent verbal and written communication
Preferred Skills:
Experience in lumber or pellet industry
Familiarity with freight/shipping documentation
Knowledge of common terms like Net 30, FOB, etc.
