Responsible for processing invoices for payment in a timely and accurate manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
Verify general ledger coding and obtain proper approval of invoices before processing for payment
Batch and enter invoices into the Accounts Payable system with the correct due dates and discounts taken
Check batches for correct payee and amount before posting to system
Research questions concerning payment status of invoices and communicate with outside vendors and employees
Document payments and maintain records for IRS record retention purposes
Research and resolve issues concerning payment statuses to avoid late fees and past due notices
Job Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
1 year of accounts payable experience
Understanding of basic accounting including debits and credits
Must have a strong work ethic and a high level of integrity
Must be willing to work in a team environment and independently
Detail-oriented
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working Days:
Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,
Working Shift:
AM / PM
