Job Responsibilities:

1. Organize and oversee transportation activities, including the storage of goods and managing information from the point of origin to delivery, while coordinating transportation movements.

2. Review freight rates and transportation costs to ensure efficient logistics operations and maintain low expenses.

3. Develop and execute logistics plans to guarantee timely delivery of products to their destinations.

4. Maintain high quality standards for logistics processes to enhance overall efficiency and reliability.

5. Establish and nurture strong working relationships with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales teams to facilitate effective collaboration and information sharing.

6. Assist in the development and implementation of logistics-related workflows at various operational sites, including India and Mexico.

7. Combine corporate logistics needs to maximize bargaining power in negotiations with freight forwarders and express couriers for favorable rates.

8. Plan and analyze import/export operations and reverse logistics processes to streamline activities.

9. Develop and integrate logistics cost models for improved cost management and efficiency.

10. Evaluate and manage customs and transportation costs, along with logistics supplier management and relationship maintenance.

11. Provide recommendations and communication regarding the company’s business needs.

12. Collaborate with supervisors to assist in departmental work planning and strategic initiatives.

13. Monitor logistic risks and propose mitigation plan to reduce the impact.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on transportation and operations.

Strong understanding of logistics and transportation principles, customs regulations, and cost management.

Excellent negotiation skills and experience in vendor management.

Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments.

Ability to lead and mentor a team, providing guidance and support for professional development.

Willingness to travel as needed to various operational sites.
